The most memorable awards ever. And it's not for its performances. The BET Hip Hop Awards started out with a 'bang' so to speak. As T.I aka TIP Harris was arrested. He allegedly went to purchase guns illegally hours before his live performance on the second annual BET Hip Hop Awards held in Atlanta, Georgia. Accompanied by his entourage and long-time girlfriend 'Tiny' from past singing sensation girl group Xscape, T.I.'s role in the BET Hip Hop Awards was over. However, the DVD does provide a full front seat view of T.I.'s recorded  rehearsal performance.

Excellent in form and stance, T.I. definitely has his game face on as he performed along side tattoo ridden Busta Rhymes and Wyclef Jean.

Of course, it just wouldn't be the south without a ton of girls on stage as the song takes a turn for a more female friendly tune reversing back to his gun toting lyrics.

Highlights of the DVD are the cipher of rappers in between the awards, Katt Williams' and star performances. Lil Mama has a no holds barred spirit amongst the testosterone crew as she comes out secure in her rap. From the projects to Hotlanta, The BET Hip Hop Awards DVD is presented on a one disc in full screen format and Dolby Digital English Stereo.
