Single mom Lilliana (Tatyana Ali) has
her hands full with running the shop as
well as running her life. She's in
between making ends meet while not
ending up stressed from her sons antics,
shop workers and co-owner Simone (Stacey
Dash) who's more bossy then busy.
After several attempts to gain notoriety
from Oprah Winfrey, co-owner Simone
gives up her dreams of an infomercial
and selling lots of hair care products
and decides to sell her half of the
salon.
To Lilliana's and the rest of the
staff's surprise there isn't much that
they can all do to change the heart of
Simone.
After several shouting match's and a
fist fight, the two find themselves
uniting after life takes a wrong turn
and the shop is directly effected.
Nora's Hair Salon 2 is a short but sweet
attempt at bringing to worlds together.
Not much is focused on the cutting edge
of hair care, NHS2 sheds light on family
remaining family.
Tatyana's all grown up. Surpassing
single-hood and straight into the mother
role, she does a great job at
approaching the character with a stern
sense of parenthood. While Stacey Dash
continues to play the Diva on screen,
bringing style and a certain sexy that
only Stacey can do.
The film could have done without Bobby
Brown. Playing the hip hop artist
flaunting women all over the place? Why
feel he'd fill those shoes? Even within
an older Stacey Dash playing opposite,
she is still a baby face compared to a
thicker more aged Mr. Tenderoni. Thank
goodness that subject matter had only
moments in the entire film.
Funny and upbeat. Never falling out of
the film, Nora's Hair Salon 2 is
definitely a must watch.
