Fresh off the success of 'Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins', Director Malcolm D. Lee continues with Soul Men starring Samuel L. Jackson and Bernie Mac: a story about two former backup soul singers. Louis (Samuel L. Jackson) and Floyd (Bernie Mac) travel cross country to perform at a tribute concert in honor of their famous former band leader. They haven't spoken to each other in 30 years but reluctantly agree to travel together for the tribute performance.

"Soul Men'" says Lee "... in modern times the lead singer dies... they haven't spoken in 30 years... they are reluctant to do a concert... its a journey that gets them back to where they used to be..."

Funny from beginning to end, Soul Men star Samuel L. Jackson must tap into his comedic style of acting when alongside co-star Bernie Mac who is famously funny. Each scene caries lots of humor that will leave you laughing, louder than the last. Director Malcolm D. Lee pays homage to singer Isaac Hayes and Bernie Mac. During the ending a glimpse of never-before-seen scenes of Mac delve into the humbleness that he explains makes him real. An amazing cast of characters, Soul Men shows the bonds of real friendship can never be broken.

"The soundtrack is getting there. Our music is based on the Staxx catalog. We're taking a lot of the sounds. We're doing remakes with John Legend... he's in the movie. he's plays the lead singer."
