What do you do when you’ve realized you’ve made a huge mistake… in love?

Growing up is hard to do. No one wants to give up the care free lazy hazy days of summer and return to the grind of the fall season, where everything is route and usual.

You meet someone. Like them. And if you stay long enough… you fall in love. They're everything you’ve dreamed of and more. And if you didn’t dream… well, it’s an unexpected surprise that you didn’t even know you wanted till you got it.

So why are so many afraid of commitment?

And even more important… why do we so desperately try to salvage what scares us?

The Last Kiss focuses on the fear of all that comes with ‘coming of age’. Buying a home, saving for an affordable car isn’t one of the greatest highlights of your life. Michael (Zach Braff) fears he hasn’t done something great with his life. His wonderful girlfriend Jenna (Jacinda Barrett) whom he has dated for 3 years is perfect… ‘But’… Michael needs more. With a quick trip to South America; an obvious attempt at being foot-loose and fancy free, Michael meets Kim (Rachel Bilson). His immediate attraction is obvious; and he runs with the idea of ‘missing’ something. And after lusting over Kim (Rachel Bilson) he realizes instantly that this was a huge mistake.

Braff’ commitment to the role pays off has he has successfully portrayed a believable boyfriend determined to win his hearts love. Anyone who has realized their mistake the day after forever, can truly identify with Braff’ impulsive actions.

The Last Kiss can be viewed as a romantic comedy but it is much more than meets the eye. Attempting a committed life is just has hard has grappling to leave one you’ve committed to for so long.

Dramatics lye in ‘The Last Kiss’. A must see movie.
