KEYSHIA COLE 2: THE WAY IT IS

TV SHOW REVIEW

Keyshia Cole 2: The Way It Is

By Tonisha Johnson

BET returns with one of their best reality TV shows 'Keyshia Cole 2: The Way It is'. Oddly enough, no other artist on the BET playing field has made such an impact. Keyshia has rightfully earned her crown.

Even better the second time around Keyshia Cole, invites her sister and her newly released from jail mother into her plush Atlanta digs. However, there is a price to pay when trying to support your family.

In the first episode, Keyshia' family which was partially introduced in the first season comes to fruition in the second. R&B singer Cole invites her family to move in but enforces rules that she hopes will give structure to her mother and alcohol addicted sister. Keyshia informs her mother and sister that there will be no men in the house... period. Both find that no men in the house is harder than staying off of drugs and keeping the alcohol consumption to a minimum.

Keyshia Cole' reality show is effective in the sense of true realism. It's inception is the type of eyes opened wide view necessary for others to see in that no one neither rich or poor is immune to life's vices. Amazingly, Keyshia lets the world into a life that has been consumed by hurt. Even today, these hurt women find compassion and love.

It is a bigger hustle to conform from lessons you have yet to learn. With the detrimental pasts of her mother, both Keyshia, her sister and the rest of the siblings have a long road of forgiveness and letting go ahead.

All will be displayed in this next season as Ms. Cole puts the finishing touches on the already released 'Just Like You' while incorporating her personal life. Can Keyshia handle the drama? Will there be drama? Find out that and more when it premieres this fall on BET.

Premiere Date: October 31st, 9PMEST
